Women's Cross Country Caps Off Season at NCAA Regional Championship

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Senior Annabel Chu (Raynham, Mass.) led the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's cross country team performers at the NCAA Regional Championship Meet that took place on Saturday morning by cracking the top-100 with a 97th place finish.

The 6K event featured 245 runners composed of 35 NCAA Division III schools. Wentworth finished 29th with 803 points.

Chu, who finished 97th, had a final mark of 25:17.6 (97 points). Freshman Annie King (Wakefield, Mass.) finished just behind her teammate in 114th place with a time of 25:49.2 (113 points). Freshman Makayla Gasper also finished her rookie season cracking the top-200, finishing 187th with a time of 29:04.6 (185 points).

Senior Jordanna Belle-Isle (Conway, N.H.) checked in her final race with a mark of 30:20.2 (202 points), good for 206th place. Right behind her were sophomore teammates Erin MacLean (Newton, Mass.), who finished 210th with a time of 30:50.7 (206 points) and Megan Leger (Westminister, Mass.), who finished 229th with a mark of 33:09.3 (219 points).

The postseason race wrapped up the Leopards' season.
