Women's Cross Country Cracks Top-20 at Suffolk Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – For the fourth-straight race, junior Erin MacLean (Newton, Mass.) led the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's cross country team, this time at the Suffolk Invitational. MacLean's 114th-place finish in a deep field led the Leopards to a 20th-place finish as a group.

MacLean finished 114th with a time of 27:24, just under a minute outside of a top-100 finish, while picking up 85 points. Senior Eleni Christopoulos (Knoxville, Texas) was the next Leopard to cross the finish line, finishing 171st (123 points) with a time of 30:32. Freshman Summer Daniels (New Bedford, Mass.) finished 30 seconds behind in 178th (128 points) with a time of 31:02.

Sophomore Annie King (Wakefield, Mass.), who finished 202nd (144 points) with a time of 33:19. Senior Dionne Ang (Victoria, Australia) finished just behind her teammate in 203rd (145 points) with a 33:45 mark. Rounding out Wentworth's finishers was junior Megan Leger (Westminster, Mass.) who finished shortly behind in 205th (147 points) with a time of 33:51.

The Leopards run next at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship, taking place at Gordon College on October 28.
