Sweeney Field

Opened in the summer of 2025 “new” Sweeney Field is the home to Wentworth’s men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, and softball teams. Built above a one-level parking garage, the field consists of regulation soccer, lacrosse, and softball fields, a Daktronics scoreboard system, energy efficient Musco lighting, a press box, and a state-of-the-art sound system. The softball field contains full, enclosed dugouts on the first and third base sides of the field, as well as a batting cage behind the first base dugout.

The facility contains expanded seating and restrooms for spectators and behind the Station Street end of the field, there is a building that houses the Athletic Training clinic and offices as well as coaches’ offices.
