Student-Athletes Take Home Awards at Wentworth's Annual Awards Ceremony

BOSTON, Mass. – On Wednesday, March 27, Wentworth Institute of Technology held its annual awards night ceremony. These awards are presented annually each spring and recognize outstanding achievements in academics and leadership in and out of the classroom.

This year, 53 of Wentworth's finest students were recognized. Included among those 53 individuals were four student-athletes who have proven themselves within the Wentworth community.

Of the four student-athletes honored, three received President's Awards for Excellence & Co-Curricular Involvement, which is an award given to the top senior within their respective majors. Danielle McDonnell of the women's soccer team (Interior Design), Adam Lane of the ice hockey team (Business Management), and Rachel Willcutt (Interdisciplinary Engineering), who was the 2018 Commonwealth Coast Conference Softball Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, were all honored. Additionally, junior Olivia DeLuca (Industrial Design) of the women's tennis team was honored as the 2018-2019 Resident Assistant of the Year.
