BOSTON, Mass. – The first Leopards of the Week for the 2022-2023 year have been announced with freshman Ryan Ballard (Norwalk, Conn.) of the men's cross country team and junior Madelyn Seder (Marlborough, Mass.) of the women's soccer team picking up the honors.

In his collegiate debut, Ballard was the first Leopard to cross the finish line, finishing 48th out of 167 runners across all three NCAA divisions. His time in the 3K race was 17:12.8 and he was among the top 10 freshman finishers.

Seder helped the women's soccer team to a 1-0-1 week, scoring a goal and an assist for a three-point week. In the season-opening, 2-1 win over Lesley, she scored the game-winning goal with 9:03 left in the contest. In a 1-1 tie against Eastern Connecticut, she assisted on the game-tying goal, which came with 7:47 left in the first half.
