LaBouliere, Rodriguez Named Leopards of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Jacob LaBouliere (Pipersville, Pa.) of men's volleyball and freshman Rene Rodriguez (Doral, Fla.) of men's tennis have been named Leopards of the Week for the week of March 13-19.

Fresh off four-straight GNAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, LaBouliere continued to shine in Wentworth's offense, guiding the Leopards to an eleven-match win streak following a 3-0 weekend. After registering a game-high 18 kills in a 3-0 win over North Park on March 17, the junior tallied a season-high 26 kills in a four-set win over Rivier a day later. LaBouliere also tallied a season-high 14 digs against the Raiders to go along with a hitting percentage of .676, his second-highest of the season.

Rodriguez helped lead a battle for men's tennis against Rhode Island College on March 16. At No. 3 singles, the rookie picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win over his opponent. At No. 1 doubles, he helped the Leopards scoop an 8-5 victory alongside junior Daniel Gallegos (Monterrey, Mexico).
