BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore Rene Rodriguez (Doral, Fla.) of men's tennis and junior Jess Rowe (Yardley, Pa.) of softball have been named Leopards of the Week for the week of March 18-24.
Rodriguez was rock solid across Wentworth's undefeated week, helping grab an 8-4 win at No. 1 singles versus Rhode Island College before winning at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-2. Four days later versus Salem State, the sophomore helped with an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles before taking a 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 2 singles.
Rowe played a role in both of the Leopards' triumphs over Eastern Nazarene, going 2-3 at the plate with a home run, her first of the season, and two RBI in game one before striking out eight batters and only giving up five hits in the circle in a 4-1 win in game two.
