BOSTON, Mass. – Lauren Eck, who has served as Wentworth
Institute of Technology’s Assistant Athletic Trainer since
2007, today announced her resignation to join the athletic training
staff of the Laredo (Texas) Lemurs baseball team. Director of
Athletics Angel Ayres accepter her resignation, which is effective
May 3.
“It has been a great pleasure to have been a part of the
Leopard family for the past six years,” said Eck.
“Seeing the student-athletes grow athletically, emotionally
and academically has been professionally enlightening and
gratifying. I wish continued success to all of our student-athletes
– past, present, and future.”
During her time at Wentworth, Eck served as the primary athletic
trainer for many sports, including women’s soccer, ice
hockey, and softball; was in charge of all student-athlete
pre-participation paperwork; and handled student-athlete insurance
claims.
Prior to arriving at Wentworth, Eck was an Assistant Athletic
Trainer at Bridgewater State University for four years and was the
Athletic Trainer at Holliston (Mass.) High School for six years.
Outside of intercollegiate athletics, Eck has worked with both the
Brockton Rox baseball team and the Cape Cod Baseball League.
“I’d like to thank Lauren for her service to Wentworth
and its student-athletes over the last six years,” said
Ayres. “We wish her well in this new endeavor.”
