DiPina Named ABCA/Rawlings All-Region

GREENSBORO, N.C. – After recently being named to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference's Second Team earlier this month, senior A.T. DiPina (Pawtucket, R.I.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology baseball team continued to garner postseason recognition Monday morning by being named to the American Baseball Coaches Association's (ABCA) All-Region Third Team in Region II. DiPina's all-region accolade is the first by a Leopard in recent history.

DiPina posted the best season of his career in 2024, leading the Leopards with a.415 batting average and 54 hits, with both marks being the second highest in a single season in program history. His 31 runs scored, 13 doubles, and on base percentage of .487 also led the team while he chipped in with 13 stolen bases. The catcher also sported a fielding percentage of .992, the second-highest among Leopards who played in 30 or more games.

For his career, DiPina holds the second-highest batting average (.360) and third-highest on base percentage (.438) in the Leopards' all-time career rankings. The senior finishes just seven hits short of the century mark while totaling 22 doubles and 57 RBI tacked on to a slugging percentage of .484.

This season, the Leopards made their first appearance in the CCC Tournament since 2018 and had their winningest campaign (21-19) since 2011.
