Four from Baseball Grab CSC Academic All-District Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – Four student-athletes from the Wentworth Institute of Technology baseball team have been recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as Academic All-District honorees.

The 2024 Academic All-District® and Baseball Team, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

In order to be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must meet the following criteria:

  • Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, eligibility wise.
  • Student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
  • Student-athletes must have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games or have started in at least 66 percent of their team's games.

The Leopards' four honorees are senior A.T. DiPina (Pawtucket, R.I.), sophomore Matthew Favazzo (Lexington, Mass.), senior Christian Peruzzi (Plymouth, Mass.), and junior Jake Prisco (Bridgewater, Mass.). Peruzzi and Prisco each earned the respective honor a season ago.
