Men's Basketball Earns NABC Team Excellence Award; Six Named to Honors Court
Leopards claim sixth NABC Team Excellence Award in last seven seasons; Jack Connell, Sam Goy, Thomas Hacker, Niko Rosich, Nathaniel Smith, and Tyler Stewart all named to Honors Court
BOSTON, Mass. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today its annual Team Academic Excellence Awards, created by the NABC Committee on Academics. These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2023-24 season. Wentworth has earned the Team Excellence Award again in 2023-24, marking a remarkable sixth honor in the last seven seasons.
In addition to the team earning an NABC Team Excellence Award, the Leopards had six student-athletes named to the NABC Honors Court. Jack Connell, Sam Goy, Thomas Hacker, Niko Rosich, Nathaniel Smith, and Tyler Stewart each finished the 2023-24 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher. Goy and Hacker were each named to the NABC Honors Court a season ago.
