SUTTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team wrapped up its 2018-2019 campaign competing at the Rich Korzec Invitational, hosted by Worcester State University at the par 72, 6655-yard Blackstone National Golf Club.
Wentworth carded a 329 on the day to finish third among six teams. Babson's B team won the event with a 308, followed by Nichols (311). The Leopards finished ahead of the host Lancers (340), Westfield State (341), and Rhode Island College (353).
Senior Brian Bak (Chicopee, Mass.) and freshman Nicholas Kurtz (Dover, N.H.) each shot an 81 on the day, which placed them tied for ninth among 29 individuals. Freshman Jared Turgeon (Dover, N.H.) carded an 83, tying him for 15th. Junior Matthew Pleshaw (Franklin, Mass.) finished 18 with an 84 to round out the Black & Gold's scoring golfers. Senior Jack McGrath (Rochester, Mass.) wrapped up the season with a 93, tying him for 26th.
