Golf Posts Fourth-Place Finish to Wrap up 2021-2022 Campaign

SUTTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team wrapped up its 2021-2022 campaign with a fourth-place finish at the Rich Korzec Invitational, played at the par 72, 6,620-yard Blackston National Golf Course. The Leopards' score of 334 was two shots behind third-place Westfield State and was 27 strokes behind Babson's "B" team, which won the event with a 307.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Junior Ben Wright (Boxborough, Mass.) finished in a three-way tie for fourth place, shooting a six-over 78. Freshman Ryan Dandrea (Lakeville, Mass.) tied for 10th to give the Black & Gold a pair of Top 10 finishes, as he shot an 83.
  • Seniors Nick Kurtz (Dover, N.H.) and Jared Turgeon (Dover, N.H.) competed in their final collegiate match, finishing with an 86 and an 87, respectively, to place tied for 18th and 21st.
  • Sophomore Dan Clapp (Rehoboth, Mass.) was tied for 27th with a 90 on the day.
