WENHAM, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team competed at the Gordon College Shootout, an event held at the Wenham Country Club. Competing against a pair of Commonwealth Coast Conference schools in Gordon and Suffolk, the Leopards carded a 309 to finish third.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• For the second day in a row. Senior Ben Wright (Boxborough, Mass.) was Wentworth's medalist as he shot a 70, shooting five over for the day.
• Sophomore Nico Alonso (Madrid, Spain) finished tied for 10th with a 77.
• Senior Albert Duart (Lleida, Spain) was right behind Alonso, finishing tied for 12 with a 79.
• Playing in his first collegiate event, sophomore Tyler Egan (Canton, Mass.) finished tied for 14th with an 83, which included his first collegiate birdie.
• Sophomore Luke Boccelli (Pepperell, Mass.) shot a 90 to finish 16th,while junior Dan Clapp (Rehoboth, Mass.) was 17th with a 93.

NEXT UP:

• Wentworth will compete in the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
