Third Place Finish for Golf at Warrior Invitational
Freshman Garrett Kendall is the Leopards' medalist for the second straight match, as he finished third
ELLINGTON, Conn. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team carded a 354 to finish third at the Fifth Annual Warrior Invitational, hosted by Eastern Connecticut State at the Ellington Ridge Country Club.
A challenging day saw only two of the 20 participating golfers break 80 on the par 72 track. Keene State took first with a 337, followed by the Warriors who were a single stroke behind. WestConn was fourth with a 358.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Garrett Kendall was the Leopards' medalist for the second straight match as he finished with an 83, which was six shots off the leader.
- Ethan Lackner tied for ninth with an 87, followed by Jon Dumais who tied for 12th with an 88.
- Ryan Vincent rounded out Wentworth's scoring golfers with a 96, which placed him 18th.
- Pablo Artero also competed for the Black & Gold, shooting a 102 on the day.
