George Weiner reps the Leopards in the conference's postseason awards announcement Wednesday afternoon
BEVERLY, Mass. – Repping the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's ice hockey team in the Conference of New England's postseason awards announcement on Wednesday, defenseman George Weiner was named to the conference's Community Service Team.
The postseason awards were voted on by the league's ten head coaches at the conclusion of the regular season.
Weiner has been an active leader in community fundraisers pertaining to men's mental health as well as Boston's animal and care and control center. Additionally, the senior has used the game of hockey in more ways than one, using it as a way to raise money for ALS in a charity tournament.
