BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team dropped its Commonwealth Coast Conference matchup to Endicott on Saturday afternoon, 22-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Gulls opened up the contest with a pair of goals from Sam Abate and Jack Sutherland in the first 2:54 of the opening quarter and would add five more throughout the quarter as Sutherland, Sam DesMarais, Jaden Elsinger, and Abate contributed goals to close out the quarter with a 7-0 lead.
  • Senior Ben Coakley (Flemington, N.J.) got the Leopards on the board in the first minute of the second quarter.
  • The Gulls would continue their attack and add six more goals and lead 13-1 at the half.
  • After a scoreless first half of the third quarter, the Gulls added three goals to their total to lead 16-1.
  • Junior Sam Prunier (Hollis, N.H.) added a goal for the Leopards, making that his eighth goal of the season. That gave the hosts a 16-2 lead to close out the third quarter.
  • The Gulls would add six goals in the final quarter to earn a 22-2 win.
  • Freshman Neal Balotskiy (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) made his collegiate debut in the cage at the start of the fourth quarter and recorded three saves.

THE SERIES

  • This was the 26th meeting all-time between the Gulls and Leopards. Endicott leads the series, 23-3.
