WEST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Two boats representing the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's rowing team competed on the second day of the Knecht Cup.
In the Men's Varsity Four – Division II/III Final, Wentworth's crew of junior coxswain Mark Zak (Longmeadow, Mass.), senior Ryan Andrews (Harvard, Mass.), senior Alex Schwarzkopf (Old Saybrook, Conn.), sophomore Fabian Torres (Danvers, Mass.), and junior Mike Drollette (Windham, N.H.) finished second with a time of 7:00.41, which was just under 12 seconds behind the winning boat from Bowdoin.
The Men's Second Varsity Four Final saw the Leopards cross the line with a time of 8:02.21, which placed them fifth. Senior coxswain Emily Resetarits (South Windsor, Conn.), sophomore Tim Baker (Ashburnham, Mass.), sophomore Tucker Barrett (Harvard, Mass.), sophomore Liam Holohan (Merrimack, N.H.), and sophomore Jake Rosser (Ivyland, Pa.) raced in that boat.
Wentworth will host the Greater Boston Invitational on Saturday, April 19, in Lowell, Mass.
