Men's Tennis Cruises Past Albion
Leopards pick up an 8-1 win over the Britons after winning the first six points of the match

ORLANDO, Fla. – Jumping out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 win over Albion Tuesday morning at the USTA National Campus.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Junior Pranav Marwaha (Nashua, N.H.) and sophomore Thomas Kot (Farmington, Conn.) got things started with an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles. Sophomore Eric Doraci (Natick, Mass.) teamed with freshman Manas Arya (Hessen, Germany) for an 8-4 win at No. 2. Senior Daniel Gallegos (Monterrey, Mexico) and sophomore Rene Rodriguez (Doral, Fla.) completed the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win at No. 1.
- Gallegos made quick work of his opponent at No. 1 with a 6-0, 6-0 win to put the Black & Gold on the brink of clinching the match. Arya picked up the clinching point when he was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 4.
- Sophomore James Weete (Dover, N.H.) was a straight-set winner (6-1, 6-3) at No. 6, Rodriguez picked up a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win at No. 2, and Marwaha was a 6-4, 6-4 winner at No. 3.
- Albion picked up its lone point at No. 5 as Doraci fell in three sets.
