Men's Tennis Rolls to Third Straight Win
Leopards climb over the .500 mark with an 8-1 win over Suffolk

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team continued its winning ways as the Leopards defeated Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Suffolk, 8-1, on Tuesday night at MIT's Dupont Courts.
With the win the Leopards improve to 7-6 overall and 2-1 in CCC play while the Golden Bears fall to 2-5 (1-1). Wentworth has now won three in a row and seven of their last nine matches.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wentworth sept the three doubles flights in convincing fashion, as the Leopards only lost a total of six games. At No. 3, juniors Pranav Marwaha (Nashua, N.H.) and Niko Rosich (Chicago, Ill.) teamed up for an 8-3 win. Sophomore Eric Doraci (Natick, Mass.) and freshman Manas Arya (Hessen, Germain) were an 8-1 winner at No. 2, while senior Daniel Gallegos (Monterrey, Mexico) and sophomore Rene Rodriguez (Doral, Fla.) won at No. 2, 8-2.
- Gallegos used a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 1 to put the Leopards on top by a 4-0 score before freshman James Weete (Dover, N.H.) clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at No. 6.
- Rosich won at No. 5, 6-3, 6-3, Arya was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at No. 2, and Marwaha was a 6-3, 7-5 winner at No. 3.
- After dropping the first set, 5-7, Doraci took the second set at No. 4, 6-0. However, in the tiebreaker, he was defeated, 6-10.
