WESTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis wrapped up Commonwealth Coast Conference play with a 9-0 setback to Roger Williams on Sunday afternoon.
With two matches left in the regular season, the Leopards are 8-9 overall and 3-4 in CCC play. The Black & Gold are locked into the No. 5 slot for the CCC Tournament and will travel to the No. 4 seed on Saturday, April 27 for an opening round match.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Two of the three doubles matches were decided by 8-4 decisions with juniors Pranav Marwaha (Nashua, N.H.) and Niko Rosich (Chicago, Ill.) playing at No. 3 and senior Daniel Gallegos (Monterrey, Mexico) and sophomore Rene Rodriguez (Doral, Fla.) competing at No. 1.
- In singles play Rosich and Marwaha each nearly force a third set at No. 6 and No. 4, respectively.
