Men's Tennis Doubles up Bridgewater State
Leopards even their record at 9-9 with a 6-3 win; match the most wins since the 2006 season

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Building on a 2-1 lead after doubles play, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team won four of six singles matches to double up Bridgewater State, 6-3, on Monday afternoon.
With the win the Leopards even their record to 9-9; the most wins since the 2006 season when the Black & Gold finished 9-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Senior Daniel Gallegos (Monterrey, Mexico) and sophomore Rene Rodriguez (Doral, Fla.) got things started for Wentworth, winning at No. 1 doubles, 8-1. After the Leopards lost at No. 2, juniors Pranav Marwaha (Nashua, N.H.) and Niko Rosich (Chicago, Ill.) took an 8-7 (8-6) win at No. 3, giving the Black & Gold the edge coming out of doubles play.
- Rosich increased Wentworth's lead to 3-1 with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6. The Bears posted wins at No. 5 and No. 2 to tie the match at 3-all, however, Marwaha's 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 4 made it 4-3 and Rodriguez's 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 3 clinched the Leopard win.
- Gallegos rallied to win at No. 1. After dropping the first set, 2-6, he prevailed, 6-3, 6-1.
