USJ Soars Past Men's Tennis
Leopards fall to Blue Jays, 7-0; Rene Rodriguez has a three-set battle at No. 3 singles

MANCHESTER, Conn. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's tennis team dropped a Conference of New England match on Saturday evening to the University of St. Joseph, 7-0.
With the win the Blue Jays improve to 9-7 overall and 4-3 in CNE play while the Leopards slip to 5-9 (3-2).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- USJ took a 1-0 lead after doubles play by sweeping the three flights. At No. 2, Pranav Marwaha and Rene Rodriguez were defeated, 0-6. No. 1 saw Andre Juscamaita and Eric Doraci fall, 2-6, while, at No. 3, Nico Rosich and James Weete were defeated, 3-6.
- The Blue Jays took the first three singles matches to get the win. At No. 4, Rosich was defeated, 0-6, 2-6. At No. 1, Juscamaita fell, 1-6, 1-6, while Weete was defeated at No. 5, 1-6, 3-6.
- Marwaha lost at No. 2, 1-6, 4-6 and Doraci lost at No. 6, 3-6, 2-6.
- Rene Rodriguez saw his No. 3 match go three sets. After winning the opening set, 6-1, he lost, 7-5, forcing a tiebreaking set which he battled in a 7-10 loss.
