NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Junior Dan McSolla (Bridgewater, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's indoor track team will have a chance to compete for an individual national championship on Saturday when he races in the mile.
McSolla, who ran a time of 4:13.27, tied for fifth in his heat which consisted of eight runners and was tied for fifth overall out of 15 runners, advancing him to tomorrow's final. The top three runners from each heat plus the next four fastest times from the preliminaries advance to Saturday.
The winner of tomorrows' final will be the Division III national champion in the men's mile while the top eight finishers in the 10-runner field will be named All-Americans. McSolla will run at 2:10 p.m. Eastern Time.
