Ballard, Sleasman Pick up First-Place Finishes at GBTC Invitational
Ryan Ballard (800M) and Eli Sleasman (shot put) place first in the Leopards' second event of the season
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Ryan Ballard (Norwalk, Conn.) and senior Eli Sleasman (Albany, N.Y.) each picked up first-place finishes as the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's indoor track team competed at the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational Sunday at Harvard University.
Ballard placed first in the 800M run with a time of 2:01.91, while Sleasman was tops in the pole vault with a best mark of 4.65M. Right behind Sleasman in the pole vault was junior Nate Muller (Concord, N.H.) who earned second place for the Leopards with a top height of 4.35M.
