Men's Indoor Track Competes Twice on the Weekend
Leopards split between the Lynn Ruddy Invitational and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational
BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's indoor track team competed at two meets this weekend as the Leopards were at the Lynn Ruddy Invitational at Bowdoin College and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University.
At the Lynn Ruddy Invitational, freshman Owen Conner Self (Bangor, Maine) placed fourth in the Heptathlon, which included a first-place finish in the 60M hurdles (9.19). The 4X400M relay team of freshman Dylan Brilliant (Somerset, Mass.), freshman Joey Cotta (Scarborough, Maine), freshman Jack Newton (Gloucester, Mass.), and senior Jack Chausse (Newport, R.I.) were second (3:44.75). Newton posted a third-place finish in the 600M (1:28.58). Senior Dre Colas (Cambridge, Mass.) and Newton (Gloucester, Mass.) were second and third with identical marks of 1.85M
At the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, junior Nate Muller (Concord, N.H.) was seventh in the pole vault.
