Men's Outdoor Track & Field Competes at Tufts Sunshine Classic

Leopards post a sixth-place finish at their final tune up before championship season

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology outdoor track & field team competed at the Tufts Sunshine Classic as the Leopards geared up for championship season, which begins next weekend.

A pair of records fell as freshman Gabe Silva (Wareham, Mass.) ran a 1.24 in the 100M preliminaries and classmate Jack Newton (Gloucester, Mass.) ran a 1:58.03 in the 800M to set a program record in that event.
