Muller, Ballard Represent Men's Outdoor Track & Field at NEICAAA Championships
Nate Muller posts an eighth-place finish in the pole vault while Ryan Ballard sets a program record in the 3000M Steeplechase
WORCESTER, Mass. – A pair of Wentworth Institute of Technology men's outdoor track & field student-athletes competed at the NEICAAA Championships, which were held at Holy Cross this weekend. The event featured top student-athlete from all three NCAA divisions in New England.
On Friday, junior Nate Muller (Concord, N.H.) got the Leopards onto the leaderboard with an eighth-place finish in the pole vault. His mark of 4.27M earned a point for the Black & Gold.
Saturday's action saw sophomore Ryan Ballard (Norwalk, Conn.) compete in the 3000M steeplechase. Running in the first heat, Ballard broke his own program record with a time of 9:28.84, which was good for 11th place in a field of 23
At least two members of the squad will have a chance to best their performances on Thursday at the MIT Last Chance Qualifying Meet.
