Men's Outdoor Track & Field Finishes Third at Tufts Snowflake Invitational
Leopards earn gold in the 1500M, 4X100M Relay, and pole vault in season-opening event

MEDFORD, Mass. – Three first-place finishes by the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's outdoor track & field team helped the Leopards open the 2025 season with a third-place finish at the Tufts Snowflake Invitational.
Wentworth picked up 80 points as a team, with the Leopards' third-place finish coming among 18 institutions scoring at least one point.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ryan Ballard placed first in the 1500M with a time of 4:03.05, earning 10 points in the process. The 4X100 relay team of Gabriel Silva, Sincere Duffaut, Ryan Abbotoni, and Scott Stehlik also earned gold for the Leopards with a time of 44.90, earning 10 points. Nate Muller hit a Division III New England qualifying mark when he won the pole vault with a mark of 4.60M.
- Stehlik placed fourth in the 100M with a time of 11.53, which earned him five points. In the 800M, Mark Murphy picked up a point with an eighth-place finish (2:01.72).
- Evan McIntire finished sixth (six points) in the 5000M with a time of 16:32.30, while Teddy Doyle set a program record in the 10,000M, finishing 12th (one point) with a time of 34:18.55.
- Oliver Bishop had a pair of second-place finishes in hurdle events, picking up a total of 16 points. In the 400M hurdles, he set a program record with a time of 58.80 while he finished with a time of 15.99 in the 110M hurdles.
- The 4X400M relay team of Stehlik, Abbotoni, Ballard, and Nathaniel Smith finished fourth (eight points) with a time of 3:40.48.
- Dominic Simpri and Smith placed third and fifth, respectively, in the high jump. Simpri earned six points with a top jump of 1.85M, while Smith earned four points with a top jump of 1.80M.
- Joe Packowski had a seventh-place (two points) finish in the javelin with a top throw of 44.55M.
