Wentworth Gets Back on Winning Track With 3-0 Win at Regis
Leopards climb back to .500 in NECVA New England play and sit at 7-6 overall
WESTON, Mass. – After dropping its last two matches by a combined six games to zero, the Wentworth men's volleyball team got back on the winning track with a 3-0 win at Regis. The win also brings the Leopards back to .500 (3-3) in NECVA New England play and Wentworth now stands at 7-6 overall.
The Leopards got off to a fast start, hitting .421 in the opening game and would take a 30-14 win before going ahead in the match, 2-0 with a 30-13 win. Wentworth closed out the match with a 30-20 win in the third game.
Senior Chase Meyers (Austin, Texas) recorded 12 kills and four blocks, while senior Chuck Gregory (New Bedford, Mass.) and junior Derek Portugal (Barrington, R.I.) each had 10 kills while playing two games apiece. Freshman Tyler Moriarty (Wilbraham, Mass.) had 42 assists and eight digs.
