Men's Volleyball Runs Streak to Three
Leopards Sweep Regis, 3-0, to eclipse 10-win plateau for second straight season
WESTON, Mass. – Senior Dan Mulvey (Halifax, Mass.) had seven kills and two aces, while classmate Chase Meyers (Austin, Texas) came off the bench to add six kills, a pair of aces, and two blocks to help the Wentworth men's volleyball team roll to a 3-0 win over Regis in an North East Collegiate Volleyball Association match.
The Leopards, winners of three straight, took the first two games by 25-12 and 25-13 scores before the Pride closed the gap to seven in the third game. However, Wentworth completed the sweep with a 25-18 win.
Sophomore Tyler Moriarty (Wilbraham, Mass.) had a match-high 20 assists, while senior Marc Larue (Lincoln, R.I.) and freshman Ross Burdett (Needham, Mass.) had five and four digs, respectively.
Regis' Stefan Todorvic (Los Angeles, Calif.) had a team-high five kills, while teammates Christopher Tran (Qunicy, Mass.), Dan Berdichevsky (Wayland, Mass.), and Drew Wilder (Brockton, Mass.) each contributed four kills.
With the win Wentworth improves to 10-5 (3-2) and reaches 10 or more wins for the second straight season. The last time the Leopards eclipsed the 10-win plateau in multiple seasons came during the 1999, 2000, and 2001 seasons.
