Burdett Named GNAC Player of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore outside hitter Ross Burdett (Needham, Mass.) of the Wentworth men's volleyball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of February 6-12.

In a 2-2 week for the Leopards, Burdett averaged 3.79 kills and 1.57 digs per game while hitting .321 in 14 games. Burdett had a week-high 16 kills and nine digs in a 3-2 win at Newbury and hit .500 with 12 kills in a 3-0 win over Mount Ida.

Burdett has played in all of Wentworth's 31 games in nine matches and leads the team with 118 kills, an attack percentage of .300 and 11 service aces. He is also third on the team with 54 digs and has recorded eight blocks.

Wentworth stands at 5-4 overall and 1-2 in its inaugural season in the GNAC. The Black & Gold travel to Mount Ida on Wednesday night.
