Oshman, Devine Earn Weekly Honors From the GNAC

BOSTON, Mass. – After posting a 4-0 week to run their overall win streak to four and conference win streak to six, two members of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team have been honored by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. Senior Ollie Oshman (Pennington, N.J.) was named the league's offensive player of the week while freshman Kevin Devine (Charlotte, Vt.) took home league rookie of the week honors. The duo was recognized for their play for matches between February 19-25.

Oshman played in three of the four Leopards matches and hit an impressive .808, which included not making an error on 26 swings (21-0-26). In a 3-0 win over Lasell he hit a perfect 1.000 (11-0-11) and followed that up by hitting .500 (4-0-8) in a 3-0 win over Emerson and hit .857 (6-0-7) in a 3-0 triumph over Regis. Oshman also averaged 0.86 blocks per set. On the season he is averaging 2.14 kills and 1.38 blocks per set and is hitting .526.

Devine picks up top rookie honors after averaging 2.17 kills and 1.17 digs per set while hitting .417. He recorded a career-high 11 kills in a 3-0 win over Mount Ida. On the season he is averaging 1.86 kills and 1.14 digs per set.

Wentworth sits at 13-4 overall at 6-1 in GNAC play. The Leopards, presently ranked 14th in the AVCA Division III Men's Poll, host MIT on Tuesday night.
