Ritter, Oshman, Klembczyk Highlight GNAC Men's Volleyball All-Conference Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its Men's Volleyball All-Conference Teams, and the Wentworth Leopards were well represented with five players overall and swept the yearly awards with Collin Ritter (Feeding Hills, Mass.), Ollie Oshman (Pennington, N.J.), and Peter Klembczyk (Penfield, N.Y.) taking home major hardware.

Ritter, who repeats as the GNAC Offensive Player of the Year, was placed on the first team, while Oshman, defensive player of the year, was also a first-team nod. Klembczyk was named as the league's rookie of the year.

Sophomores Ryan Love (Gaithersburg, Md.) and Augusto Rodriguez-Guerrios (Guaynabo, P.R.) were placed on the second team, while freshman Kevin Devine (Charlotte, Vt.) represented Wentworth on the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

This year marks the fourth time that Ritter earned an all-conference spot, and the third time being named first team. Ritter earned the all-league accolade finishing second among conference opponents in kills (291), and sixth in kills per set (2.85). The senior also finished with 552 assists, next to Rodriquez-Geurrios, and dished out a team-best 5.41 assists per set. On March 27th of this year, Ritter broke the all-time assists record for the program, previously set in 2013, and is now the career-leader with 3,563. Ritter was named as the GNAC Offensive Player of the Week three times, more than any other conference opponent.

Oshman earned his first-ever all-conference honor after hitting a blistering .508 on the year, which ranks him second in the country, first in the GNAC, and second in the single-season record at Wentworth. Oshman hit .500 or better in 15 of 27 matches played, including a perfect 1.000 two times this season. Defensively, Oshman was named the league's first defensive player of the week back in January, en route to a league-best 1.29 blocks per set, and 112 total blocks. Oshman joined Ritter on the all-tournament team, hitting .652 in his last match with the Leopards.

Klembczyk earns the GNAC Rookie of the Year award after being named as rookie of the week three times this season, more than any other first-year player in the conference. The freshman libero was also named as defensive player of the week three times and finished ranked sixth in the league in total digs and digs per set, with 245 and 2.45, respectively.

Love and Rodriquez-Guerrios earned all-conference honors for the first time in their respective careers, as Rodriquez-Geurrios split setter duties with Ritter, recording a team-high 589 assists. The assists total ranks fifth among GNAC stat leaders, while his 5.21 assists per set ranks ninth. Rodriquez-Guerrios finished with double-digit assists in 30 of 33 matches played, including a season-high 33 in the Leopards' regular season finale at Lasell.

Love finished the season with 171 kills, 63 digs, and 19 services aces, a statistic that ranks him third among the Leopards. He recorded a season-high 26 kills on three separate occasions this season, one of which came in a conference victory at Regis. Love also swung into 26 kills in the Leopards' early-season win vs. Wells and hit a season-best .440 in the effort.
