Defending Champion Rivier Tops Men's Volleyball in Five Sets
Raiders down Leopards in five; remain lone undefeated GNAC team
Nashua, N.H. – In the most anticipated match of the season to date, the Wentworth men's volleyball team dropped a five-set battle to reigning Great Northeast Athletic Conference champion Rivier University on Wednesday evening in Muldoon Gymnasium. The Raiders remain the lone undefeated team in GNAC, defeating the Leopards by set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 17-25, and 15-12.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams answered the other one's beckon, as Rivier drew first blood with the 25-23 opener. Reversely, the Leopards took down the Raiders 25-23 in the second set, before both teams traded wins with Wentworth ultimately forcing a deciding set by a 25-17 score.
- A kill from Ryan Love (Gaithersburg, Md.) and a block from Colin Stockton (Hummelstown, Pa.) gave Wentworth a 2-0 lead to start, but Rivier answered with a 3-2 spurt with two blocks and a kill from Sokunbuth Ly. Stockton broke the 3-3 tie with a kill from Augusto Rodriguez-Guerrios – who set a new career-high in the match with 53 assists – before Rivier exploded for a 5-0 run.
