LaBouliere, Milke Earn GNAC Weekly Awards

BOSTON, Mass. – In the midst of an eight-match win streak, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team was recognized for their individual performances by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference this past week as junior Jacob LaBouliere (Pipersville, Pa.) was named the GNAC Offensive Player of the Week for the third week in a row while sophomore Josh Milke (Eastampton, N.J.) was named the GNAC Setter of the Week. The awards are for games played from March 6-12.

The two-time reigning GNAC Offensive Player of the Week continued to lead the Leopards' offense, averaging 4.20 kills per set, 1.50 digs per set, and a hitting percentage of .507 in an undefeated week for the Black & Gold. After leading the team with 21 kills in a 3-1 win against St. Joseph's (L.I.), the junior posted eight kills in a sweep over New Jersey City before recording 13 kills and an impressive .765 hitting percentage in a sweep over Misericordia.

Coming off of the bench against St. Joseph's (L.I.), Milke dished out 31 assists in the four-set win. Milke continued the three-game stretch by tallying 15 and 29 assists against New Jersey City and Misericordia, respectively, averaging 9.38 assists per set in the two-day battle. Milke had an average hitting percentage of .667 and also tallied two kills across the three matches.

The Leopards are 12-6 this season and host North Park on Friday.
