#11 Men's Volleyball Celebrates Senior Day with Triumphs over Dean, Elms; Giglio Hits Major Milestone
Leopards sweep Bulldogs, Blazers; Head Coach Evin Giglio becomes first-ever Leopards' coach to reach 300 career wins plateau
BOSTON, Mass. – In Great Northeast Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon, the No. 11-ranked Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team swept both Dean and Elms and in the process, earned Leopards' Head Coach Evin Giglio the 299th and 300th wins of his career, making him the first-ever coach in the school's history to reach the mark with any one program.
Giglio ranks sixth all-time in wins among active coaches at the Division III level.
With the wins, the Black & Gold improve to 17-4 overall and 8-0 in GNAC play. The Bulldogs went 0-2 on the day to hold a 2-14 overall mark (0-5 GNAC) while the Blazers split their day, now holding a 4-14 (1-3 GNAC) record.
Prior to first serve, the Leopards honored seniors Tyler Jack, Antonio Marino, Ryan Roller, Nick Cebula, Jacob Waga, Alek Reymond, Sam Etter, and Josh Milke.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A pair of finishes apiece by Roller and Reymond kicked the Leopards off to a 6-4 lead before a Cebula finish marked a 10-5 advantage. Another strike from Reymond marked a 16-10 lead before a finish by Roller marked a 19-12 score. A pair of finishes apiece by Roller and Etter helped Wentworth cruise to a 25-18 set win.
- An ace and kill from Roller got the Leopards out to a 6-3 lead in the second set before three aces and a handful of errors carried the advantage to 16-7. Two aces and a kill by Roller and two strikes from Luke McQuaid pushed the lead to 21-9 before the Black & Gold took a 25-15 set win on kills from Jack and Cebula.
- A kill and an ace by Eli Turner helped the Leopards garner a 3-0 lead in the third frame before a finish by Roller marked a 9-5 score. Wentworth then went on a 9-3 run, featuring another two kills from Roller, to extend their lead to 18-8. Two kills by Reymond capped a back-and-forth in the later going, resulting in a 25-17 set win for the Leopards.

- The Leopards are a perfect 7-0 all-time against the Bulldogs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Leopards began the opening frame with a 16-4 run, featuring three kills from Roller and another two from Matthew Zegowitz. From there, the Blazers battled back to an 18-8 score before Wentworth finished the set with a 5-0 run, capped by two aces from Waga, to take a 25-9 set win.
- The two teams traded points to open the second set with a kill by Benjamin Moughon marking a 9-7 advantage. Two aces from Moughon marked a 12-8 lead before two kills from Etter helped pace the advantage to 22-10. A kill apiece from Reymond and Moughon clinched the Leopards a 25-13 set win.
- Two kills aside for Moughon and Gabe Tucker helped the Black & Gold to an 8-3 lead before another string of three straight kills, capped with two by Tucker, extended the advantage to 14-6. Kills from Moughon and Turner highlighted a back-and-forth in which Wentworth held on for a 25-17 set win.
SERIES NOTES:
- Wentworth leads the all-time series, 21-4.
