Second Place Finish for Men's Cross Country at Golden Bear Invitational
Leopards score two runners in the top five and a third in the top 15, missing first place by three points

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Placing two student-athletes in the top five and a third in the top 15, the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team placed second at the Golden Bear Invitational Saturday morning on the campus of Western New England University.
The Leopards scored 63 points, finishing just three points behind Endicott, in the 17-team field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ezra Blasko continued his outstanding rookie campaign, finishing as Wentworth's top runner for the third time this season as he placed third with a time of 26:22.
- Ryan Ballard was right behind Blasko with a fourth-place finish as he posted a time of 26:24.
- Joey Cotta was the Leopards' third runner to finish in the top 15, finishing 15th (14 points) with a time of 27:47.
- Mark Murphy placed 20th (19 points), crossing the line in a time of 28:21.
- A 24th-place finish from Teddy Doyle in a time of 28:33 gave the Black & Gold 23 points to round out Wentworth's scoring runners.
- Jon Savage placed 29th (28:56), Hayden Pierce was 36th (29:15), Nathan Bergquist-Guimond finished 38th (29:21), Dylan Brilliant was 43rd (29:37), Sean Giuliano came in 72nd (30:57), and Robbie McCue had time of 33:19 to place 114th.
NEXT UP:
- Wentworth is back at Western New England for the Conference of New England Championship on Saturday, November 2. This course was the site of the Leopards first conference championship back in 2015.
