GAME ONE:  Wentworth 6, Mass. Maritime 5
Trailing 5-2 after four and a half innings of play, Wentworth scored once in the fifth and twice in the sixth before walking off Mass. Maritime on a senior Caroline Shea (Abington, Mass.) sacrifice fly. The Leopards had taken a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first as Myers led off with a walk and went to third when junior Emily Winter's (Stratford, Conn.) sacrifice attempt allowed her to reach and go to second on an error. Freshman Kayla DeMedeiros (South Dartmouth, Mass.) drove Myers in with a sacrifice fly which also moved Winter to third and Winter scored on an RBI ground out by DiPilato.

Mass. Maritime tied the game 2-all in the top of the third inning as a pair of Leopard errors aided in the game-tying runs. Sarah Monteiro (North Falmouth, Mass.) had an RBI single in the frame and Melissa Cochrane (Walpole, Mass.) scored on a wild pitch. Defensive miscues allowed the Buccaneers to score three times in the fifth inning and take a 5-2 lead. Monteiro had an RBI on a sacrifice attempt while Jill Corazzini (Paxton, Mass.) and Madison Ovadek (Greenland, N.H.) each had RBI singles.

Wentworth made it 5-3 in the fifth on an RBI single from DiPilato, which scored Winter who had reached on a fielder's choice. An inning later the Leopards evened the score at 5-all when graduate student Kelsey Gorski (Killingworth, Conn.) came around to score when Myers singled and went to second on an error. Senior Vanessa Weymouth (Fremont, N.H.), who had earlier singled, scored on an RBI single from Winter.

The top of the seventh saw Mass. Maritime leave the go-ahead run on first, setting the stage for Shea's heroics. DiPilato delivered a one-out single and was lifted for sophomore pinch runner Molly Biega (Old Lyme, Conn.), who took second on a wild pitch. A Willcutt single moved Biega to third and Willcutt moved to second on a wild pitch. Shea lifted a 1-0 pitch to left field, which was caught and sent Biega home with the winning run.

Myers picked up her first win of the season as she allowed five unearned runs on six hits and was 3-for-3 at the plate. DiPilato was 2-for-4 with two RBI, while Willcutt finished 2-for-4.

GAME TWO:  Wentworth 10, Mass. Maritime 1 (Five Innings)
The Buccaneers scored their only run in the top of the first inning on a sacrifice fly from Ovadek. Wentworth countered in the home half of the inning to take the lead for good on a two-run double from Willcutt. The Leopards added two more runs in the second inning as senior Megan Berryman (Middleboro, Mass.) led off with a double and scored on a triple from freshman Kacey Russo (East Walpole, Mass.). Russo came in to score when Weymouth hit a double.

Wentworth broke the game open with a six-run fourth inning. Back-to-back singles from Weymouth and preceded an infield single from Winter to load the bases.
