Pettenger Named CCC Player of the Week
Batting .733 across four wins, Pettenger earns first conference weekly award of the season; ran home nine runs across the four wins
BEVERLY, Mass. – With an extremely efficient week at the plate across a 4-0 week, graduate student Kaitlin Pettenger (Budd Lake, N.J.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology softball team garnered weekly recognition from the Commonwealth Coast Conference league office Tuesday morning. Pettenger was named CCC Player of the Week for her performances, with the award for games played April 15-22.
Across four wins, the graduate student hit .733 at the plate (11-15), tacked on with three RBI and a slugging percentage of 1.07. The outfielder recorded two triples, a double, and two stolen bases, and ran home nine scores for the Leopards across the four-game stretch. Pettenger currently leads the league with an on-base percentage of .509.
Riding a five-game win streak, Wentworth (19-13, 7-3 CCC) visits Nichols on Saturday.
