Lefkowski Collects Second CNE Rookie of the Week Honor
Lexi Lefkowski leads Leopards' offense in 4-0 weekend, batting .600 with nine hits, three stolen bases, and six RBI
BEVERLY, Mass. – Following up a 4-0 weekend in non-conference play, Lexi Lefkowski of the Wentworth Institute of Technology softball team earned weekly recognition from the Conference of New England, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. Lefkowski earned her second CNE Rookie of the Week nod of the season, with the award being for games played between March 17 – 23.
Lefkowski was the Black & Gold's most prominent hitter in the weekend's pair of respective series, batting .600 with nine hits. Of her nine hits, two were triples, while the rookie also managed three stolen bases while in scoring position. Additionally, the outfielder racked up six RBI and seven runs scored.
On the season, Lefkowski leads the Leopards in stolen bases (10) altogether and hitting (.419) among those who have appeared in all 18 contests. She also has 13 RBI and five extra base hits.
Wentworth (10-8) opens CNE play at Curry on Saturday.
