After a three-point play by junior Juliana Tracey (Quincy, Mass.), Busbey notched a three-point play of her own and followed it up with another two points to mark the score at 11-7. After a three by freshman Grace Boucher (Wells, Maine) put the hosts ahead 14-7, sophomore Maddy Foster (Lewiston, Maine) scored her first points of the net to make the score 14-9. The Nor'Easters scored the last four points of the quarter, giving themselves an 18-9 lead after the first.
  • After the two teams traded baskets to start the second quarter with a 20-11 score, graduate student Keagan Dunbar (Middlebury, Vt.) drained a three and sank a free throw to extend UNE's lead to 24-11. After junior Nattaly David (Hyde Park, Mass.) sank two free throws, UNE went on an 11-0 run that was ignited by three three-pointers by Tracey, posting a 35-13 score. Foster sank a layup and sophomore Brianna Carroll (Douglas, Mass.) drained a three to cut the Leopards' deficit to 35-18 at the half.
  • UNE scored the initial two baskets of the third quarter to go ahead 39-18 before Foster drained a free throw. After a Dunbar bucket, Foster made another layup to bring the score to 41-21. Tracey drained another three to put the Nor'Easters ahead 44-21 just before the Leopards got five free throw makes from the duo of Busbey (3) and Foster (2), marking a 44-26 score. Junior Faye Veilleux (Wrentham, Mass.) scored four more points for the hosts before sophomore Brooke Carlson (Contoocook, N.H.) made a layup, bringing the score to 48-28. UNE then went on a 13-5 run, sparked by threes from Boucher and freshman Nora Barmashi (Bourne, Mass.), to bring the score to 61-33, before layups from Foster and sophomore Gabby Amoddio (Wethersfield, Conn.) cut the Leopards' deficit to 61-37 after three quarters of action.
