DUDLEY, Mass. – Despite a near double-double by freshman Reagan Madonia (Corrales, N.M.) the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's basketball team (3-9, 0-7 CCC) was outscored 92-55 by the Nichols Bison (7-8, 4-4 CCC) in league play Wednesday evening.

Nichols followed by scoring ten straight before a basket by freshman Aissata Conde (Brockton, Mass.) marked a 46-16 game.
  • The Bison scored another eight straight, marking a 54-16 game, before Wentworth rattled off six straight with scores by Conde, Foster, and Madonia to mark a 54-22 score. Fernandes sank a three and freshman Rylee Barrieault (Ashburnham, Mass.) added two to give the hosts a 59-22 lead at the half.
  • Wentworth began the third frame on a 6-2 run, with three points coming from Foster, to cut the deficit to 61-28 before Nichols answered with four of their own to mark a 65-28 score. Three Carlson free throw makes cut the deficit to 65-31 before the Bison outpaced the Leopards 16-8 in the final going of the quarter, including five points from Fernandes, to hold an 81-39 lead.
  • After a three from Barrieault extended the hosts' lead to 84-39 to begin the fourth quarter, the Black & Gold scored 14 straight points, including four three-point makes as a team and two by Madonia, to mark an 84-53 game. Nichols went on an 8-2 run to take the conference matchup, 92-55.
