Hartford Outpaces Women's Lacrosse
Kaitlyn Kozak posts career-high four caused turnovers; Maggie McCann scores twice

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Three student-athletes dropped hat tricks as the Hartford Hawks women's lacrosse team topped the Wentworth Institute of Technology 19-3 in non-conference play Wednesday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Hawks rattled off six goals in the first quarter in a span of 8:40, led by two goals apiece from freshman Madison Olmstead (Wolcott, Conn.) and junior Megan Smith (Orange, Conn.), marking a 6-0 score.
- Hartford added one more to their lead early in the second frame before the Leopards got on the board on a tally by junior Jenny Montville (Plainville, Mass.) at the 10:25 mark, marking a 7-1 score. Olmstead and Smith scored one apiece before the Hawks ended the quarter on a 3-0 run, including two goals by senior Lenaijah Ferguson (Baltimore, Md.), marking a 12-1 score.
- The Hawks scored three unanswered in the third quarter before sophomore Maggie McCann (North Grafton, Mass.) scored on the man-up at the 13:56 mark of the fourth quarter, marking a 15-2 game. Hartford outscored Wentworth 4-1 the rest of the way, with McCann tallying again at the 3:12 mark.
- Junior Kaitlyn Kozak (Saddle Brook, N.J.) registered a career-high four caused turnovers while senior Kristina Arabatzis (Saco, Maine) scooped up four ground balls. Junior Lily Cohen (Cherry Hill, N.J.) made six saves in her eighth start.
