Endicott Pulls Away from Women's Soccer
Gulls score twice in the second half to build on an early lead; Shyla Kulesza makes six saves

BEVERLY, Mass. – Grace Jewett scored a pair of goals to help lift the Endicott College women's soccer team (7-3-2, 3-0-0 Conference of New England) to a 3-0 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology (4-3-4, 1-1-1) in CNE play Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- An early Endicott bid went high of the mark, as the attempt came 48 seconds into the contest. Just over three and a half minutes later, the Gulls had a corner kick attempt, however, were not able to generate a scoring chance.
- The Gulls had their second corner kick in a 38 second span and this time were able to capitalize as Jewett headed in a service from Ella Morgan at the 5:05 mark.
- Endicott continued to apply pressure, which included a pair of shots on net, both of which were saved by Shyla Kulesza.
- In the 23rd minute, Wentworth had its first shot attempt of the contest as Lily Carlson put a bid on net that was saved by Samantha MacCormack.
- Kulesza recorded two more saves in the first half, including one with 26 seconds left in the half.
- The Gulls had a pair of shots in the early part of the second half, as well as two corner kicks. In the 59th minute, Endicott had an attempt off a corner kick that was cleared out by a Leopard back line player and, 30 seconds later, Kulesza came up with a save.
- Jewett tacked on her second of the game off a rebound of a Morgan Hubert shot at the 61:45 mark to make it 2-0.
- A foul on Wentworth in the box led to a penalty kick where G Klindtworth stepped to the spot and scored with 21:40 left.
- Kulesza made six saves for Wentworth, which was outshot 21-2. Endicott also had a 9-1 corner kick advantage.

- Today was the 33rd all-time meeting between the two teams.
