Leopards earn first TCCC Tournament berth since 2005; are honored for their play on and off the court

Wentworth Women's Tennis Team Earns TCCC Sportsmanship Award

BOSTON, Mass. - Coming off one of the more successful seasons in Wentworth women's tennis program history, the Leopards were honored by coaches within The Commonwealth Coast Conference as the recipients of the 2009 TCCC Women's Tennis Team Sportsmanship Award.  The award was announced after a vote of the league's 12 head coaches. 

 

Posting a 5-10 record, Wentworth qualified for TCCC Tournament for the first time since the 2005 season and the five wins were the most since winning six in 2005.  Eleventh-year head coach Eddie Davis had a 2009 squad that was mostly underclassmen and should continue to be a playoff team in the future.
