Women's Tennis Falls to Endicott
Leopards drop 9-0 decision to Gulls; Ali Sollecito battles at No. 1 singles and teams with Morgan Collins at No. 1 doubles
WATERTOWN, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's tennis team was defeated by Endicott College, 9-0, in a match played at Victory Field on Wednesday afternoon.
In doubles play, freshman Kiara Hima (Oakville, Conn.) and senior Hannah Erickson (Columbia, Conn.) lost, 0-8, at No. 2 while senior Ali Sollecito (Taunton, Mass.) and sophomore Morgan Collins (Warwick, R.I.) fell, 2-8, at No. 1. The Gulls won No. 3 by default.
Sollecito fell, 2-6, 4-6, at No. 1, Collins was defeated, 1-6, 0-6, at No. 2, Erickson fell, 0-6, 0-6, at No. 3, Hima was defeated ta No. 4, 3-6, 0-3, while junior Kirsten Gramajo (Boston, Mass.) suffered a 2-6, 1-6 setback at No. 5. Endicott won No. 6 by default.
Wentworth (0-3) is at Endicott on Saturday.
