BEVERLY, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's tennis team was defeated by Endicott College, 9-0, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference match played Saturday afternoon.
In doubles play, sophomore Morgan Collins (Warwick, R.I.) and senior Hannah Erickson (Columbia, Conn.) lost at No. 1, 2-8, while senior CiCi Deakin (Standish, Maine) and freshman Kiara Hima (Oakville, Conn.) lost at No. 2, 0-8. The Leopards defaulted at No. 3.
Erickson lost at No. 2 singles, 0-6, 0-6; Collins was defeated at No. 2, 0-6, 0-6; Deakin lost at No. 3, 1-6, 0-6; senior Kirsten Gramajo (Boston, Mass.) was downed at No. 5, 0-6, 0-6, while Hima was edged in a three-set match at No. 4, 6-3, 0-6, 8-10.
Wentworth (0-4, 0-3 CCC) is at Curry on Thursday.
