Records Fall as Women's Indoor Track & Field Competes at Lynn Ruddy Invitational
The Leopards set four program records, including Tati Sicard's new mark in the weight throw - for an eighth-place finish

BRUNSWICK, Maine. – Paced by four program records, the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's indoor track & field team picked up an eighth-place finish at the Lynn Ruddy Invitational. The Leopards, who set new program marks in the 5000M, the triple jump, the shot put, and the weight throw, amassed 28 points on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the 800M, Erin MacLean placed fifth to earn four points, crossing the line in a time of 2:36.15, while, in the 5000M, Emma Schaumloffel was second (eight points) with a program-best time of 20:15.92.
- The Leopards picked up four points in the 60M hurdles with Laci Santos finishing third (10.04; three points) and Rachel Hagerty finishing eighth (11.44; one point).
- Jordan Bennett finished fifth (four points) with a 10.02M jump in the triple jump, establishing a new program record. Tati Sicard also scored in the event, placing seventh (9.50M; two points).
- Santos took home seventh place (two points in the shot put), setting a program record with a top throw of 10.55M. Sicard broke her own weight throw mark with a throw of 12.62M, which was good enough for a fifth-place finish (four points)
