Women's Indoor Track & Field Competes at Wheaton Pre-Post Season Invitational

NORTON, Mass. – In the final meet before championship season begins, the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's indoor track & field team tied or set four program records as the Leopards competed at the Wheaton Pre-Post Season Qualifier.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Emma Schaumloffel set a new program mark in the mile, crossing the line in a time of 5:43.32.
• The 4X200M relay team of Selma Moutaouakkil, Sydney Mercadante, Lily Carlson, and Anabelle Mendez came in fourth (1:59.75).
• Jordan Bennett placed third in the triple jump, establishing a new program mark of 10.03M in the process.
• The shot put saw a fourth and fifth place finish by Tati Sicard (10.55M) and Laci Santos (10.54M), respectively. Sicard tied Santos' program record with her finish.
• Sicard also broke her own program record in the weight throw as her new mark of 12.73M placed her fourth.

NEXT UP:

• Selected student-athletes will compete at the Division III New England Championships next weekend.
